You can apply vector patterns (.pat) files to any material, there are several additional .pat files available that ship with Chief (take a look under "Custom Pat Files") and or you can import .pat files from AutoCAD and other CAD programs that use .pat files. and then assign those to existing or custom materials.

David, I believe the OP is trying to assign a profile that will show up in a cross-section.

 

Home_design, you should delete one of your duplicate posts. And you should put a name in your signature so we know what to call you (you can make one up if you don't like the one your parents gave you).

rlackore, Sorry about duplicate post. I'm new. how do I delete it? 

 

I would like add a profile to a specific siding material so it would show in my cross sections.

I've seen the way you can do a log siding with a 3d molding polyline but it seemed like a lot of work if it's a complicated house is there a better way?
