A Client Using The Ca Viewer

The Viewer on the CA website is a great tool for my clients to use in doing 3D visualizations of a plan. Although you can not edit a plan in the Viewer, is there a way to "Lock" the plan making it "Read Only" and not editable if the client just happen to find somebody else with a full version of Chief?

Jerry, I stand to be correct, but I don't think the client with the viewer can load an editable plan from the viewer for anyone with a compatible CA X version? I really don't remember now but when a client of mine asked to view the plan with his builder, I prepared the plan for the X6 viewer, loaded it to my drop box, and he down-loaded the X6 viewer and then the drop-box plan and used the viewer to give his builder an idea where we were with design, and early pricing information for budget prep.

yes, any .plan can be sent to another chiefer and they would be able to edit the file just as you can

while the viewer is read only, there is no way to flag a .plan file to be read only

if protection is a concern then send PDF's only
