Render / Ray Trace - Can Chief Do This?

Recommended Posts

Is this something that could be done in Chief, or would you need another program? Not drawing the walls etc, but everything else.

Here is a ray trace that I just ran -- 30 passes -  no comparison.

Eric,

I have no doubt. See some of the guys work on "Show Your Goodies" thread. What was it rendered in?

Absolutely no problem. Just ran a quick rendering of an ensuite bathroom being worked on. Just low res but it demonstrates the potential.

Chief Architect Premier does not "do" such things, rather, it is due to hours and hours of practice developing the skill necessary to produce such professional results. It requires patience and judgement, the right software helps but the main difference is the end user.

The specifics of your computer and video card will make a difference as well.

Here is another quick one on a kitchen being worked on. Just a simple camera view run through Raytrace, 3 passess. I am sure the poster realizes that the model must be built first.

No, sorry, this makes absolutely no difference at all. Ray Trace uses only the CPU and not the graphics cards, and regardless of the computer, given the exact same inputs, only difference would be time to render (speed and cores of your computer).

David is correct, as the settings, materials, lighting, tweaks etc... make all the difference in the world.
