Raytrace Water feature

Alan,

The water material has transparent properties. It is intended to be used in features like swimming pools where the pool bottom, etc is visible. I suspect that to use it successfully as you are intending, you will have to provide bottom materials for the lakes and the stream bed...

Just a guess...

To just try to get the terminology right, that looks more like a render with shadows than a Raytrace.

I got the camera view I wanted. Hit Final view with shadows Then did Raytrace, stopped at 20 passes.

OK I looked at the Terran Path (Stream) and the lakes (Terran Features) and both have the same material properties.

Water with transparency and same index.

I changed to Translucent & they then all looked the same.

But the bottom was grass for all three objects.
