The only documentation we have for it now is here:

https://roomplannersoftware.com/help/

We are working on revamping the website soon. Just waiting for Apple to approve the new 4.0 version.

I believe there are also some videos on our youtube channel:

Oh, and also, there is a RoomTalk forum here:

Might be tough to work on a phone. I have used it a little on an Ipad but that was the previous version. I am hopeful that the newer version enables us to drag and draw a wall. Just creating rooms that abut each other if very counter intuitive to me.

Joey, have you used it for an as built?

I haven't used it for anything yet. I just played around with it for a while yesterday and not to impressed so far but its too early to tell. I need to learn how to use it first. As soon as I get a little free time I will review the information that Kirk sent to me.

Ok, I was using the room planner on my note 4 Samsung and it works pretty good. One thing I did not understand at first is how to shape the rooms. That seemed a little confusing.

But what you actually do is draw one room at a time and then add another room and the rooms snap together and then you dimension that room and so on until all the rooms are done. In other words Its like building blocks. You can select different room shapes other than just square. It has a pretty good library so you can add windows, doors, furniture, cabinets....

I think it would be nice to have the blue tooth measuring laser and it would most likely be easier with a tablet rather then a phone. I like the idea of the plan file going to the cloud and into my computer so I don't have to redraw it. But I'm not sure that it is set up for doing property lines. Might have to do that the old fashioned way.

I'm considering spending a couple of bucks for the blue tooth laser.

good to know it works on the Note4 , it maybe my next purchase....

The Bosch one seems priced better than the Leica's I have seen in the past , it comes with software too, I have a Bosch non-Bluetooth which works fine, BT wasn't an option when I got mine 2-3 yrs ago

Mick, I would be upgrading to Bosch bluetooth also, I use the measuring tool now without it  and I talk to many contractors all over the country and overseas and it seems that the majority prefer Bosch and they swear Bosch being the best and most accurate measuring device out there compare to most others, not to mention very reasonably priced.

Just looking at the list of products they make, one of the best know names on the market like Freud, CST Berger, etc  Here is the list of others, it just shows quality.

I have a Hilti that I purchased several years ago and paid the high price of 500.00 and it doesn't have blue tooth but has been a very good tool and have had no problems. But I think I may try the Bosch from Home Depot and take it back if I don't like it. Thanks for the tip!

I guess it's how I read it , I thought it meant the Leica's were iOS only

but not good , that's a severe crimp in the BT capability with only two to choose from , so I'd have to wonder about Bosch's own App and exporting it's Data to CA.

New 4.0 Feature List:

-Android version (see sys. reqmts below)
-Total Square Footage Calculation; turn off living area for uninhabited rooms (like garage and utility spaces)

-Clone Tool; copy and paste objects

-Adjustable Wall Widths; set wall widths for individual walls

-Add-On Catalogs; purchase Library Content to expand your catalog

-Improved Sojourn® “Walk Thru Model” experience

-Standalone Dimension Tool

-Updated User Interface

-Additional Bluetooth Laser Support: Bosch Laser Meter GLM 100 C, Leica devices D810 & D910 (iOS only)

- 2D Vector View; see materials applied in 3D views display in the 2D floor plan

-And, a few other updates

I'm new to tablets and if I get this it would be strictly for "as-built" dimensions.  I'm still using a laser and paper!  So what tablets will this work on? Getting confused by the 2gb ram issue and the Bluetooth "LE" as the specs on tablets don't often say what version of Bluetooth they have installed.  Anybody know which Android tablets this APP will work on??
