BrianMSmith
Ok so I searched but could not find anything about this. Is it possible for Chief to "remember" the zoom area for a linked view in a layout window? For example, I have a CAD Detail with a bunch of standard details for my company. I want to be able to open one of the linked view windows (one of the many details) and go to that specific view. Instead it takes me to where I was last in that CAD Detail, not the specific detail that is in the linked view. I am trying to see if it can open to the actual window contents of that particular detail. It would be like in AutoCAD where you have saved views...kinda. Thoughts? PitMan71
I have the same exact scenario in X18. Sounds like a good feature suggestion to Chief. Edited September 24 by PitMan71

I'm not sure that Chief has ever had that function, but it sounds like it would be a good option to add next to the Open View function. For CAD details, you could consider placing each detail in its own CAD Detail view. This can help you organize and use the details with specific naming, scaling, and view cropping and centering in layout.
