KSRFTIPE
Hello ChiefTalk community, I handle complete design, pre-engineering, client coordination, and modeling in-house. My projects are primarily high-end residential nationwide, along with some commercial. I have established standards and will provide my template to define the required sheet organization, detailing, and graphic style. I am looking for a dependable contract drafter proficient in Chief Architect to take my completed models and turn them into finished, professional multi-sheet construction document sets. I am a P.E. and will sign and seal final plans, after review, as needed. I operate in Florida, but also around the entire U.S.A. Scope of Work & Deliverables: Layout & Sheet Assembly: Take completed models and generate clean, fully dimensioned plan views, elevations, building/wall sections, and details across the sheet set. Cover Sheet: Set up the title/cover sheet featuring standard project info and a single rendered perspective view. Notes & Keying: Integrate provided standard general notes and implement a precise keyed note system (A, B, C callouts linking to note legends) across the plan views and sections. No Modeling Required: All 3D geometry, framing layout (beams/joists), and design work will already be completed in the model before handover. Requirements: Advanced proficiency with Chief Architect layout files and sheet set production. Sharp attention to linework, annotations, dimensioning standards, and graphic clarity. Ability to work directly from an established template and follow specific drafting guidelines. If interested, please send a message or reply with a link to sample construction document sets (PDFs or Chief Architect layouts) demonstrating your detailing and layout work.

Kevinleite
Hi, I’m interested in helping with this. I work in Chief Architect and am comfortable taking a completed model and turning it into a clean, coordinated construction document set. I can work directly from your template and standards, handle the layouts, dimensions, elevations, sections, details, cover sheet, notes, and keyed callouts, and keep the graphics consistent across the full set. Since the modeling and framing are already done, I can stay focused on the documentation and sheet production. I can send a few sample Chief Architect construction sets for you to review. Thanks. Carolline
Hi! I’d be very interested in connecting about this opportunity. I work extensively in Chief Architect X18 and have experience developing residential construction document sets, including floor plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, annotations, schedules, and detailed sheet layouts. I’m comfortable working from completed Chief Architect models and established templates, standards, and drafting guidelines, which sounds very aligned with the support you’re looking for. I’d be happy to send you a sample PDF construction document set privately so you can review the quality and organization of my work. I’ll send you a PM with my information and portfolio. Thank you!Carolline Peixoto | Carolpe Designs www.carolpedesigns.com
KSRFTIPE
Hi Caroline Sorry for my delayed response. Appreciate your interest in the layout / CD drafting work. My workflow is specific: I build the model, cut the sections, and set up the layouts in-house. What I need from a contract drafter is heads-down 2D CAD production — opening those sections, converting them to CAD, then detailing and annotating them for my S sheets. I use a keyed-note system heavily (letter/number callouts with a keyed note table). Before we go further, please send 1–2 PDF samples that show custom 2D CAD structural detailing, not default Chief Architect 3D camera cuts or stock boilerplate details. Ideal pages include: Fully labeled / annotated foundation plans Wall sections and connection details drawn in CAD Keyed notes (or a similar callout + legend system) Also include your hourly rate (or sheet-set pricing) and typical turnaround for ongoing contract work. If your samples are mainly architectural presentation or automated Chief views, we won’t be a fit — that’s fine; just say so. Best regards, Ken
