FEET - INCH - 16TH (macro or Settings/feature?)

I saw a great video by Eric/Solver where he wrote a macro to change inch output to Feet & Inches.

 

Is there a way to universally change ALL system dimensions (or even selected dimensions I suppose) to be Feet - Inch - Sixteenths (FIS), like the truss companies use?

I would like to dimension my plans using FIS.

 

The format would look like  10-1-12   for 10'-1 ¾"

 

Maybe Eric or the macro man from Alaska can figure this out.

As long as a GC is OK with this and is willing to explain to subs, I like it.  Any of us used to working with truss manufacturers are already up to speed.

Chief will almost do that with regular settings.  I would need to tinker a bit to see if there was a way to clean it up with spaces and an extra dash though.

I had a version in my old plan template .. not a macro, a font, and you would use it for dimensions only. It’s a quick google search. You are simply replacing the character space with a ‘-‘ and generating a system font with that switch then applying that font to all dimensions through text styles etc.
