Auto Floating Dormer - Roof Hole

Good afternoon,

 

I created some floating roof dormers.  However, I would like these to be faux "dummy" dormers with no roof openings, i.e. overframed on top of the roof.

 

I cannot figure out how to delete the roof openings below.  A tip would be appreciated.

It's like a regular dormer, but without framed walls below.

Floating Dormer: Also known as a false dormer or fake dormer. In this type of dormer, all walls rest on top of the roof plane.

Yeah, I googled it.  I know what they are, shoot my house has one..  just didn't know they were called floating.  Thanks Jim.  I'm always learning!

I too didn't know they were called "floating" until earlier today!  Seems very "ethereal."
