Brick soldier course at top of wall

How do you guys go about creating a brick solider course at the top of exterior walls?

Would use molding polyline 1/8" proud of wall surface and apply soldier texture. Generate from exterior room.

You could use a pony wall with a soldier course material…just adjust the height of the top portion so it’s about 8” tall or so.

Yeah I think a pony wall should work with the soldier course rotated 90 degrees.

Thanks for the replies.....I will try all. This request has been asked for the first time by a builder and I am willing to bet a brick mason already knows that the top row is always a solider course and doesn't necessarily need to see the elevations reflecting it in order to do his job.
