Default to interior dimensions when drawing?

I work mainly on interiors and so I'm drawing from interior dimensions.  Is there a way to change the default settings so that I don't have to modify my dimensions to take into accout the thickness of exterior/interior walls in my calculations up front?  For example, if I draw a 100" interior wall dimension, I'd like for it to remain that way and not include wall thicknesses in that 100".  I've been poking around for days and can't find a setting for this.

You will want to turn off (wall dimension check box) in your current dimension string. Then set the default behavior in the dimension defaults dialog box for future use.

This is for X14, I don't see your version your using in signature panel. 

Pretty much same for a few versions back.

I have hot keys for standard dimensioning and for interior dimensioning. I would recommend setting up a hot key for interior dimensions (and just about everything else you use constantly).

Also, on Michaels last image, change the "Locate" to "Surfaces". That will give you what you want for as built conditions.
