Roof And Cathedral Ceilings

My first thought because of the skewed layout was the need to create the cathedral ceilings manually but then noticed the way CA framed the second floor/ceiling.

Could be a couple of things going on. Not sure...maybe some of the roof/framing pros will chime in.

For a start, you need to build the roofs correctly.

It looks like you have built them manually.

The central higher roofs run straight through under the side roofs - wrong.

These roofs will always look wrong from inside.

I suggest that you use the auto roof builder and uncheck Ceiling Over This Room.

I'd make the wings a single level and raise the ceiling/roof.

Thanks for the help, guys.

I tried this and have posted a picture of the results.

Eric, How do I do this?

I also need to create a 2nd fl. loft in the taller structure.

I drew a ceiling plane in the main building and pulled the wall material up in the gable section of the wings.

I do get some Z-fighting on gable wall over siding, changed surface material thickness but did not seem to make a difference, have to mess around a little on that one.
