MartyBoyd
Hi, I break my wall using break tool but when I move it it reconnects with the wall forming only one wall instead of two. Is this possible or do I need to always rebreak my wall? X12 on Windows
MPDesign
Hi, You need to make the wall different in some way, Select the wall and open the wall dbx after you break it. go to the wall type category on the left of your screen. in the middle of the screen click "define" make a copy of the wall. Change the plan view fill of the framing layer to visually differentiate it from you other wall type. Now you wall will not rejoin.
rgardner
A trick if you are breaking it to make a change differently than above is to either change the direction of one of the walls temporarily or hit the gable conversion for that wall in the edit bar. That will give it a different definition. Just remember to make the adjustments back at the end.
