I just bought a new LG 32" 4K monitor and found my PBR render speed was slower than on my 27 Inch monitor. I discovered that the size of the window affects the render and denoise speed. With the window size the same on each monitor the speed is equal. If I shrink the window size to about 8" of render display the time to render and denoise is almost instantaneous. If I have the window full size on the 32" display the time goes up to about 9 seconds to finish rendering and denoise. I now know that if I'm just looking around to see what the model looks like a smaller window will speed up the process greatly. I hope this helps to understand how the render speed works.

Hi!
I’ve been struggling with lighting for a long time and I have some general questions I haven’t solved yet.
In the “Electrical Service Specification”, what’s the “direction angle” made for? When I modify it, nothing happens on the light or, at least, I can’t notice anything.
In general, when I make the final render in physically based view, the result is too dark, no matter the configuration of the lights. It always looks like being in twilight and it seems lighting is never enough. When this happens I change the exposure to manual and adjust saturation and brightness. Of course, I set the background light too.
Anyway, lighting doesn’t improve a lot. The same way, I adjust sunlight to “use generic sun (mid-day)” but the final result keeps on looking dark. Am I missing something?
*Ops! I forgot! Another doubt I have is I can't project general shadows of objects. When I want to do this I just click on "casts shadows" but most of objects on the floor don't show anything. They look like floating and that makes the scene doesn't look realistic.

Hi - I am using x14 version of chief architect, and I am trying to do a bathroom elevation and show the tile as well. I am new to interior design and chief architect. I've drawn on 2D polylines to show the tile material and location, but then it covers up the plumbing fixture on the wall. I'm not sure what the best way is to show the tile in an elevation. Do I have to add it to the 3D model, or can I just show it in 2D?
Thank you!
