Materials list not reporting the General category

Hello everyone,

 

I'm having trouble displaying the 'general' information on a materials list in Chief X13. I had no problems with it in prior versions of Chief, but since I upgraded to X13 that information won't generate, despite the box for 'general' being checked in the program's preferences. Anyone else experience this before?

That is new to X13 - no General section.

That functionality was deprecated and changed to an export feature…

Thanks for the replies. I found it quite helpful for takeoffs when doing house prices. I could get the LF of all interior and exterior walls in that one section and now I'm not sure how to calculate the totals without manually measuring each wall individually. Not sure if anyone knows another function that calculates it automatically? Anyway, unfortunate that it's gone!

Try a Wall Schedule

In addition to being able to use a schedule, we can also just add one or more component to our desired walls or Wall Defaults and in doing so get our own custom General category in the materials list.
