Wall disappears above a below grade entrance

I know that the wall can be fixed by manually dragging the top of the basement wall up, but is there some automatic way to prevent this?

Could you do without a defined room for your two sided railing ?  That seems to help quite a bit but still some misalignment on the front and back walls for some reason.

Worth a try. I will see how that goes.

That solves one problem but then the stairs don't show in the first floor plan.  The reason for making the railing wall defining is so that the room can be open to below.

After spending an hour fussing! 

I discovered that the wall type makes a difference in this situation.

If you change it to a standard block wall type and add the (energy wall) on the inside separately, mark it no room def.

I put in a trouble ticket because I thought this was a bug of some sort.  

 

Vincent pointed out that the interior framing should have been moved to the main layer.  That solved the problem.
