new wall creates a void in the exterior wall - how to correct this?

For whatever reason, when i add a diving wall on the 3rd floor, it has automatically created a void or cut in the exterior 8" CMU wall. Second level divider wall did the same thing. Is there a way to turn this off, or prevent it somehow?

"edit wall layer intersection" tool should do the trick.  You have to click on a wall and hit that tool then you can change it.

Hard to tell from the glass house view,  vector is generally the best view to show issues with on the forum.  If I had to guess though it appears that your exterior walls are slightly out if alignment.
