Stair Section Winders

I've been working on this staircase for a couple of days.  I've got it about the way the customer wants it except I need stair section 1-2 (ref. attachment) to have winders to the walls.  I need the upper curved stairs to go against a curved wall so my first and second floor walls are curved accordingly.  But, even though "Winders" is checked in the DBX, the lower winders do not appear.

 

Ideally, I'd like to be able to turn "Winders" on for just one section but CA doesn't seem to allow that.  When stair sections are joined (like 1-1, 1-2, 1-3,...) "Winders" is either on or off for all.  Is there a way to create separate stair sections (like 1,2,3,...) and turn on winders for one section?  Or another way to accomplish what I need?
