Import plan into new .plan template

Hello,

I have continually updated (exported) my layers, defaults, etc and imported them into older jobs where I am using the older plan for a new job. However, there are things I have done with my .plan template (always fine tuning) that have other things I would like to have for a new drawing. I even tried to copy the plan floor to paste into a new plan, but that does not work.

When I draw condos, I use an existing plan, copy and rename for a new drawing. It would be nice as I learn more and fine tune things to have those things available.

What do others do to accomplish this?

In Older Versions of Chief you couldn't Copy Cameras AFAIR, so maybe that is the issue?

Yes, so if you have sections (section lines) in your floor it will do nothing. Once I shut the layer off it worked. Thank you for that info!!

When I set the roof structure thickness to 7.25, the roofs are still generated at 3.5

In this video at 14:30 the presenter shows how he makes a copy of the solid, adjusts it and then subtracts the one from the other. All looks straight forward.
However, some time ago when I did this, I had a popup come up when I did not read, I only checked the box and closed it. Doing so changed things and now I am always left with the solid that I want to remove. I end up having to delete the main (makes a copy some how) and delete the solid I want to subtract.
      Here is my result...

My question is, where do I turn that popup back on, in some way get back to having it work as shown in this video?
      Thank you,
      Steve

I have run into this and left it, but I know it used to set back to the main wall. Is there another setting I need to use for a garage door?

Does anyone know how to turn glass into a solid so that in Line Drawing camera mode you cannot see thru it?
There are Louvers as a Window Type, but the material seems to be glass and yet you cannot see through the louver panels, only the gaps.
Now and then I like to use a window as a panel for under a window, but when I show my model in Line Drawing you can see thru it.
      Thoughts?
