I don't think Chief runs on an Android platform. You will probably need something more like a Microsoft Surface Pro. If it's just for field measuring, you might want to consider something like an iPad Pro with LiDAR and use it with Canvas.io or magicplan.app.

I am looking for a tablet to take to the field for measuring.

Just looked at the: Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-P580NZKAXAR 10.1-Inch 16 GB, Tablet with S Pen for under $500.00. Any input

Thanks

Ron

I have the Surface Book 3 Business class and it is/was a dream for as-builts.
I just switched to the iphone 8 pro max with Lidar and had success with the first scan. I brought an apprentice to do the scan and while he was at it I went around and jotted down some control measurements in my phone. Took the two of us a 1/2 hour to do a 2000 sq ft 2-story home. I spent as much time in the office as I would've in the field with the surface book, but the convenience of being in the office is worth the investment for me.
