Create room underneath stairs without walls

I want to make a room underneath my staircase, but I don't want that room to have walls. Instead I want to use it as a little nook that is open to the adjacent library. however, I want a wall at and above the level of the stairs.  Picture to illustrate my problem.

Then it isn't a room.

 

Use polysolids if walls aren't working, but my guess you aren't really explaining the situation appropriately.

If you reference the photo I attached, it might explain better. I want the area under the stairs to be a part of the room. So the area under the stairs would be enclosed on two sides only.

I want a wall at the level of the stair steps and up. Right now you can see the stairs and into the room beyond them - I don’t want that.

Use a solid railing wall rather than an open wall.

Assuming that I am understanding what you want, you might try drawing a normal wall next to the stairs (not under them) and then edit the shape in an elevation view to raise up and angle the bottom of the wall to match the slope of the stairs.

In the photo, are we looking at the stairs from the room that you want the nook in?

 

Or is the other room with the arch opening the one you want to have the nook?
 

Can you sketch a plan of what you want?
