Alt Key to Curve Stairs for Winders

In this video Scott uses the Alt Key to get the "Landing" section to curve.
It doesn't do that for me at all.  It simply pivots the starting point.

And Ideas?

Never-mind. He is going back and selecting the second set of stairs, not drawing it.  The video was edited a little early.

Try the right mouse button. He might have a special hotkey set he forgot to mention.
