Is there a way to draw the interior walls from the finish layer rather than the stud?

I am noticing that as I draw new interior walls, it is drawing them from the edge of the stud and not the finish layer.  I would prefer to change that to the finish layer, as that is how I took my dimensions from the jobsite.

You can also set up a Dimension Default to use Surfaces instead of the Wall Dimension Layer ( Framing usually)

 

or set your Temporary Dimension Default to use Surfaces as well..... ie :

Something to consider: depending on the parameters of your project, for as-built interior walls, it may be suitable to use a wall type that is a single layer; the thickness of the as-built wall (assumed 4.5"), with the material set to the drywall type that you're using. I'd place these as-builts on their own layer. This is a simple way to help with display control across different types of views.

Again, depending on your needs, there may be no need to have a framing layer for an as-built wall.
