Insert into Floor or Deck

I would like to insert a Tub or Fibreglass Pool into a floor or Deck, similar to inserting into a Countertop or Terrain Hole.

Does anyone have a way to do that?

Does it require placing a hole and then manually setting the height of the Symbol?

It would sure be nice if there was another more automatic way to do it.

I can't see any other way. You'll know this of course; a fixture and a polyline hole can't be blocked or converted to symbol. And no options for a symbol to create a hole in a floor.

Not only that, but a hole cuts through everything, including the ceiling layer below.

I am having a similar issue.  How to cut a hole in a deck for a tree that will be growing through the deck.  I tried using a polyline cutting tool, but it does not cut through the deck.  Also tried a polyline solid box and this set the box inside the deck, but would not leave an open hole.  Suggestion for Joe  that may work - since a polyline solid inserts into the deck, maybe a 3d of the hot tub can be inserted into the deck as well.

Change deck floor sturcture so planking is defined as opening no material. Add a custom counter top, place hole in counter, change counter materials to planking, alter height and thickness, manually change framing around hole.

Eric solution is the easiest,  my solution (room with no floor) is better if you want railings around the hole.

Thanks Eric,  I should of know that......  however another downside to your method is it looks like the deck framing ignores the fact there is hole. (I see a girder in the hole to the bottom left.

I tried using the convert polyline method, hole in floor platform, but for some reason it did not recognize my deck.  The green cutout showed in plan view, but not in camera view, and I could not get to work at all in camera view.  I built the deck using Deck railings.

You cannot use a CIRCLE.  Convert the circle to a POLYLINE and then it will work.

Circles work. Or rather you do get the hole, it's not perfect.

The hole with the framing showing above is a circle.
