Eyebrow dormer on gambrel roof

[NVH1983]

I'm trying to place an eyebrow dormer on the lower pitch of a gambrel roof that intersects with the top pitch of the curved eave. The program doesn't allow me to place them automatically or manually. Can anyone offer any help or direct me to a video that would help? 

Edit: I have tried following the "Creating a Dormer in a Roof with Multiple Pitches" instructions from Chief Architect, and it still doesn't work. Also, I'm using Chief Architect Premier X8

Auto Dormer won't work as an auto Dormer can not cross the roofplane's edge   ( ie straddle two Roof Planes ) but I'd have thought you could cut a notch or Hole in the Roof Planes and build one manually....

 

Not sure if this may give some pointers or not.........

BTW, you're probably going to need posts to support that curved porch overhang.
