When I build roof framing I can specify the size of "lookouts"...are these "soffit" lookouts...or just gable end lookouts? I gather it's just for gable end support...if that is the case, do we have to manually draw in the 2x lookouts for soffits? If so, c'mon Chief...fix this. If you are talking about the backing for "Boxed" Eaves as CA calls them, then yes you have to place them manually or add a few CAD lines in the cross Section View..... it has been this way for as long as I can remember , and I am unsure why they are not auto framed too, never heard any feedback on this issue.
