I prefer to be on middle of top line either left or right depends where the text are placed. Currently if the text are wrapped the end of leader will move to middle of the wrapped text box. Long story short there are no options, you would have to manually drag your leaders up, I wouldn't expect this to change for years to come because of the way text is formatted separate from a text box.
