Some one asked me what "workflow based tutoring" means.
I tried to explain him as follows
"User work flow means ways of doing things effectively by using the tools of the software. And in order to effeciently take advantage of the tools, users develope their own ways of doing things in the program environment. That is what we call "workflow". Work flows are learned through practice and by learning from others. Watching how gurus do their stuff for 30 minutes can be much more productive than trying it by your self. You know what re inventing wheels mean. I just given him a good example by picking a post that I posted earlier in tips and techniques.

A rough study made by one of the gurus here show that, users who spend 3 hours/week with a guru are 10 times faster in mastering the program than those who don't"

Thanks David. My pleasure sir.
Had few kenyan clients earlier, one of them I recall needed a design of  RCC building(picture attached). I have indians, brazilian clients and all over the world. Indians, like here in ethiopia and kenya build RCC buildings.

Aa you know, chiefarchitect is number one software when it comes to design of timber structures, that is why it is widely used in America, Canada, Australia, Newzeeland including Europe and as a matter of fact most of my clients are from this areas. Specially USA and Canada. They always get surprised when I tell them I am in ethiopia. They hardly believe me when I tell them that I am in Ethiopia. My service as they say is "the highest quality they could find in their locale, appart from the significant dollars they save". I am still learning.

That is it David, thanks so much. You have always been a role model to me.
I think it would be a good idea to create an international chief user group
" Chief Users Without Borders"
I will follow the facebook page too.
Thank you so much sir.

First post here, this is my first attempt at roof truss. As you will see in the PDF attached the gables that are on the front of the duplex are being supported by the truss that are running in the vertical direction. I am wondering if this is normal as i cannot seem to create truss for the gables on the font of the home. If there is a more effective means of building roof truss for roofs of this style id love to hear them.

How can I enclose the roof overhang so the beams/trusses aren’t exposed when walking outside from French doors? In the picture I colored in red where I’m trying to not have an open overhang. The overhang is 8’, and I will have structural posts to hold up overhang.

      Hi All.

Still new to the program and figuring things out. I have built an automatic roof and am trying to modify it to be a gable roof instead of the default hip roof. I have watched the various videos on how to do this as well as read through forums and have not been able to figure out why my roof will not adjust to a gable after changing each wall to be a gable setting. I've attached screenshots and uploaded the file. The client only wanted a model for purposes of seeing a new deck/stair option and paint color so the roof isn't the most important thing but I still want it to resemble their house.

      Thanks,
      Krissy
