Placing Spotlights And Receptacles In Roof Soffits

I want to place spotlights and GFCI receptacles in roof soffit overhangs.  Everything wants to default to being placed on a wall.  Is there a way to override this?

Yes. What I have done for many items especially electrical is to copy the electrical item from Chief's library to my user library. In the user library, open symbol (not open item), and change it to sit on floor (before you place it in the plan). Place it in the plan, take an elevation ( I use a backclip camera to isolate it), reset its origins, drag up to where you want it from the elevation.
