      A bit late in the day to be starting an old topic. What the heck is the deal with random wall lighting issues in PBR? I've tried every toggle and adjustment I can find but I can't get a couple of walls to display properly. It's clearly not a specific lighting issue because the problem is with a few walls. I recorded the PBR adjusting itself and somewhere along the way it gets it just right...but then just keeps on going. All I'd need is a slider tool so I could manually reverse / forward that process and then stop it where I'd like it.

      And while I was working on this I had an epiphany! I added a wallcovering to my offending walls, using the same material, and BOOM! They all play along now! This could possibly go in the 'tip and tricks' section.

      Nobe messing with lighting settings in PBR. Very tricky to balance sun strength and room lights. I'll get there though.

      Here is an easy quick way to add additional realism to your PBR model.
       
      - Go to Google maps and capture a street view, used snipping tool.
      - Place a Polyline Solid in the background and apply the captured Google Street view as a texture.
      - Scale and shift accordingly to get the right position and proportions.
      - Run a PBR with it and save pic. Run another PBR without it and save pic.
      - Drop both into Photoshop and erase out the unwanted Google Sky.

      Final Scene - Combined with Google Street view sky erased.

      I have noticed this for a long time but just never got around to asking about it (I just upgraded to X11):
       
      In PBR, when I have a vaulted or high ceiling, the higher part of the wall is darker.  It is perfectly linear at the point where the color changes.  This is not the case in Standard or in ray trace views.  Sometimes I noticed that my upper wall is a little skewed away from the lower wall, but not always.  I have added point lights up high but that doesn't help.  I tried different settings in the PB (while talking to tech support) and that didn't help.  And I tried to adjust the sunlight into the room.  Didn't help either.  The fact that the color change is SO exact worries me.  I have attached images.  I like to use PB in walkthroughs and panoramas.
       
      On a side note, when trying to ensure that my attic walls were in line with my lower walls, the reference display set in X11 didn't show floor 1 in red as it usually does.  Not sure if it is an x11 bug.
