This is how I was trying to explain how One Drive works. Given that you are very familiar and pleased with Drop Box I would stay with it. As far as third party programs go I think Drop Box is currently the best of them all.

I agree with Rene, onedrive seems to work flawlessly, and it synchronizes a physical drive copy with the web copy.
