I'm a beginner and just learning CA.

Interiors 10x

I'm following the training manual and have gotten to a step that requires me to "define" a wall in the Wall Specification Editor - at which point, the program seems to freeze Every. Single. Time.  The dialog box freezes when I click the Define button - there is no error message, it just freezes.

Up to this point, I have been able to define other walls.  I have restarted the program at least 6x.  I have restarted my computer.  I have checked for program updates.  I don't understand!!  PLEASE HELP!!!!

Sounds like you have found a bug, so try your best to document the steps proceeding the point where the software freezes and report to Tech Support.  In the mean time try to find another way to access the same thing and see if the same problem occurs.  Try the main menu  Build> Wall > Define Wall Types, or draw a wall and open it and try the edit or new wall type.  Try a few different wall types.

Sorry this is happening but it could be specific to Interiors.  Any other issues ?  Are 3D views working ok ?

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!!!

Going thru the main menu Build> Wall> Define Wall Types worked.....

Other issues so far - I did have to restart the program once before when I was learning how to make one of the Cross-section commands, but that might have been more my error than the program....

Since I'm so new to this, I wasn't sure if this was just something I'm doing wrong....but it feels like a bug to me.

Yes if you are following through the training manual and something makes sense to you but does not work the way it is suggested that it should your input is just as valuable as someone who has been doing this for 10 years.  Please make use of your SSA payment and let Chief know how they can improve the software and make it more user friendly.
