Joining a turret style roof to a main hip roof

Hi guys;

I’m trying to join two roofs here as you can see in the photos attached.

the top main roof is a standard hip style, 3.5/12 Roof pitch, and the turret roofs are all on a 5/12 Roof pitch.

So then, how do I blend these two different roof styles together, both at different pitches, so that they blend and will look right please?

thx,

I agree with Lew, Raise the tower till the gutter boards are at the same elevation. It appears the where the main house roof intersects the tower you shouldn't have to put in a cricket,just a guess. Only concern would be the low pitch on both roof sections.

Lew is most correct. The eave fascia should either be the same or a foot or "more" above the main roof. I would also make the pitch on the "turret" at least twice the pitch of the main roof. Try that and see if changing the pitch is much more pleasing to the eye. Because the eave will be much above the top of the windows you could add more architectural detail in that area to help make the "turret" stand out. Of course this is my opinion only. You can take it with a grain of salt.
