Seeking Experienced CA Designer in Central Texas

Hill Country Design Build is a boutique design-build firm located in the Central Texas Hill Country west of Austin and north of San Antonio.  We are seeking an experienced full-time designer with advanced Chief Architect training and experience to complete construction documents from in-house principal-created designs.  

 

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years CAD Experience, preferably in Chief Architect
• 1-3 years experience in working in a construction / design related field

 

Skills / Attributes:

• Positive outlook / team player
• Driving record that will not prevent insurability through HCDB insurance policy
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Have a keen sense of construction / building techniques
• Ability to organize multiple priorities
• Willingness to complete job duties with care and quality
• Self motivated
• Verifiable employment history

 

Job Duties:

• Creates CAD Drawings for residential construction projects
• Assists with residential home layout through finished drawing set completion
• Creates initial set of General Conditions and Project Specifications
• Creates and modifies site and proximity maps to assist and project identification
• Incorporates subdivision plats, surveys and site data points into drawing files
• Plots new maps
• Reproduces CAD Drawings and manages online, email and print distribution
• Manages organized release of revised drawings
• Creates finish and fixture schedules for projects and applies construction timeline and information require-by dates to these schedules
