in Chief Architect x10

I can't seem to get the wall cap feature in pony walls to work correctly.  When I check "full wall width", the cap appears, but I want it to overhang on each side of the wall, like a shower wall cap.  None of the other options seem to make a difference in the result.  File attached.

thanks for your help.  Brian

Not sure why, but the glass wall needs to be defined like this -- just a single main layer of glass.

The Posted plan has a Air gap either side of the Glass for some reason ???  remove them so it looks Like Eric's pic , that is how mine is Defined too and it works Fine....

Just DON'T check the Rotate Box then it will automatically Center itself over the Wall.  ( no need to enter anything in the Profile Offset Area )

** there is something weird going on in this plan that doesn't happen in my Project Plan I can make it any width and it will center itself, in my bathroom plan I don't need to center it with the Profile Offset  ... not sure Why...

---- Ok got it... In my Plan I made the Original wall with a Half Wall , which meant it had Railing Checked and I used Panel (glass) / no post or newel / no rails

Haven't played with the Rotate feature yet except to turn it off in this plan .... looks like some interesting fun can be had.....

Solver, Kbird1 - thank you for your response.  I placed the air gap on either side of the glass to try to make it center the glass in the wall.

Maybe its just a glitch causing my wall cap to not work correctly.  It appears there's nothing special to do.   I'll delete this demo plan and start over.  Thanks again.  Brian.

Look where you define the pony wall. There are options to align the walls.

yes, thank you.  I see how to center the walls together.  Also, the wall cap feature works correctly now in a new file....i guess some strange issue with the plan I sent earlier.

The issue was how you had defined the glass wall.

Good stuff Eric.  It might be clear if you used different materials for the wall and material.  Can you control in which direction the profile rotates?  I have yet to have a play.  thanks,  good stuff.

Did we ever figure out how to make the Cap cover the Finished End of the Wall -ALL THE TIME?

I swear that my Wall caps will look right in 1 Camera View, and too short with the framing layer exposed in the next. SMH

I really like the ambitious feature set in X10 and feel that we are on the verge of greatness, but for right now I feel that we are in Beta.

In PBR the glass wall cuts thru to the wall framing layer ( I think its because we can't see the galss there) and in RT the cap is short.
