using simpson hangers

I am trying to place supports as well as accents on an outdoor structure using the "T"s and right angled brackets. hen I click on them to place them on a column. It does nothing. How am I able to use these on structure and where I choose.

Chief has a 3D section in their Simpson Manufactures Catalog but maybe not the items you are looking for.  Others can be made in Chief or Sketchup or downloaded from the 3D warehouse if someone else has created and posted them.

Simpson has it own collection on Sketchup here though I have not tried using them as you describe once imported...

Mick,  It seems that all of the items that you have linked to with the exception of the bench assemblies are available through Chief in 3D.

 

Thank you for the direct link but I am curious how you were able to navigate directly to that manufactures Catalogue.

It seems we posted at almost the same time earlier  , I noticed most of the models on 3Dware house were made by Simpson S. (it looks like someone took the Simpson Strongtie User name for one model ) so I looked for the Simpson S. Collection thinking they must be doing their Own catalogue
