Joe_Carrick you were right, I had to associate libraries to Chief X8, Thank you.
I did not notice a final message saying the Boral library had been installed.
Anyone else notice this?
-
Heads up. Boral X8 download is actually Boral X7.
How do we get it corrected by Chief Architect?
-
I confirm same problem, thank you Joe_Carrick for reporting bug.

Sketchfab set the following check sheet for loading Chief Architect files into Sketchfab
that features Dan Baumann's Tutorial
Sketchfab Help Center
Chief Architect
Adapted from Dan Baumann's tutorial.
Chief Architect is architectural and interior design CAD software.- Open a 3D model in Chief Architect
- Select File → Export → Export 3D Model (3DS)
- Uncheck Truncate Texture Names and select Export
- Create a new folder with the name of your project.
- Open the folder, name the project and save the model. (You're also saving the materials)
- Navigate to the new folder and compress it into a .zip file. (This is important if you want the materials to show in your online models) See video around 4 minutes.

Professionals using Sketchfab for clients are most likely going to needprivate and password-protected models. This will require at a minimum the Pro Plan ($10 month paid yearly or $15 month paid monthly)Business Plan is ($29 month paid yearly or $39 month paid monthly)The Basic plan is free with stated limitations.Sketchfab advantanges - disadvantagesTo be discussed in another topic.3d Viewers I have tried for Chief Architect are:1. CHIEF VIDEO QUALITY
I think the "Quick Sneak Peek" of Story Pole Dimensions was TOO QUICK AND THE AUDIO WAS POOR QUALITY.
Surely a video from CHIEF ARCHITECT should be CLEAR, PRECISE AND UNDERSTANDABLE,
otherwise it is just adding to the "confusion".
I hope the two key "ISSUES" noted below have been addressed
or will be as part of the Chief X8 release or its following updates:
1. Stairs
2. Floor level changes and there associated data boxes
All the best for the New Year to Chief Staff.

Johnny,There were two methods used.1. Floor plan prepared by architects using manual methods.2. The elevations and sections were prepared by photogrammetricsNote the dwg photogrammetric elevation drawings are accurateand have precedence over the manual drawn plan. The plan was prepared by the architects and was done independently of the photogrammetric processphotogrammetrics by: architects:http://www.cassisiarchitects.com.au/ Paul Archibald Architects, Melbourne, AustraliaThe accuracy and detail of the dwg elevations and sections are worth looking at.Dropbox links are noted below:1.
