There is a Schedule to Text tool. Right click on the schedule and you should notice it at the bottom of your screen. Notes and a custom note schedule would also work really well for what you have in mind.

I wholeheartedly concur! I don't get that behavior. For me, the ceiling stops at the inside of the CMU wall.

Seeing as your roof is lower than the 2nd floor at the exterior walls, you'll need to define some attic rooms on the 2nd floor. I'd suggest taking a section view through the garage, for example, and figuring out how the structure will be built, as well as the necessary assembly depths and elevations. That will give you some insight and guidance as to how to model it in Chief.

What keeps you from making your own library of 1x moldings? Or, you could easily add some Keywords to the Search Attributes of specific library items that you use frequently.

FWIW, It was my assumption that the OP was struggling with figuring out how to create a conical roof. For clarification to the OP or anyone else on this topic, that is the only thing I attempted to help with. I was not helping with overall roof design, or construction plans or documentation. If @Alisa_Design needs / wants assistance with the overall roof design or other aspects pertaining to the completion of the building plans, I'm sure she'll add to this topic or source additional expertise as needed.

I kinda expected it'd still be hanging out in my Downloads folder, but somebody got the bright idea to clean up the other day! I just had to dig around in the trash and I'm glad I 'found' it because the really faint lines in standard view and PBR-RT are sooooo much better than the latest X13 release. Also, the same renderings are taking 1/2 the time and I can't help but wonder if it's due to the line thickness. Line drawings always used to be a slow and cumbersome rendering method, so I assume they still add a lot of time to the processing. Sooo much better, it feels good to not have to look at those heavy crappy lines. Barely there is how I like it!

Not at all impossible. In fact, Chief's auto roof can do that automatically. You should create a 2nd floor to build an Open Below space that is circular. Set the main floor ceiling for the porch to be lower (181.5) and set the Open Below ceiling height to 245.5. Turn on Auto Rebuild Roofs and set appropriate roof surface and ridge materials.

How would one re-install the previous version of X13 if it has already been deleted from my computer? I feel that some of the main rendering techniques were altered to be generally worse in this latest release.

You simply need to use a thinner wall type that will allow you to move those windows closer to the corners. Try a wall type that's 3" thick for starters. No mulling necessary!!

It's really quite simple. Use a ramp. Put it on a layer that will NOT display in 3d views. Adjust ramp slope to match slope and elevation of roof. Draw railing set to No Room Def and Follow Stairs. Done.

Space beside the o/h door is also an issue that needs to be addressed. Smaller garages with shorter wall spaces may not accommodate the openers.

If the extra cost is ok, they are also considered to be quieter and operate with less vibration, a bonus for rooms over a garage...pun intended.

It can be. You can rename the room boxes as you see fit and use them to help plan the space.

The example posted from X13 had no adjustments made. Interestingly enough I found another example of a slight difference in PBR/RT but without lines. The transparency of my window covering fabric has been rendered ineffective. X13 Beta: X13:

Yes, just noticed. This is a HUGE letdown. The really fine lines looked great and now all the lines are too thick. I think they need to insert at least 2 lighter line weights in before Line Weight 1.

I have noticed it and reported it. If you have some plans where that dbx is too large to function correctly, you can reset the dbx sizes in Preferences. The issue I reported was that the tab slider between Material and Pattern did not work. It has been fixed
