I'm currently designing a home for a client and we are using roofs that range from 2:12 to 3:12.  I've not worked with these types of roofs in the past and my concern is properly venting the roof.  Does anyone have any insight or section drawings that can help me understand how to effectively make these areas work.

The exterior housing is what we use.  Often times it's connected to a copper supply which slides into the wall and the connection is made in the basement.  I was just giving an example of the actual exterior valve I'm looking for.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone using Revit.

Here in Indiana, we went to the 2018 code with Indiana Amendments on December 26, 2019

Does anyone know where I can find a water spigot like this?  I've done the 3D searches but have come up short and the one included in Chief isn't what we use in our market.

I’m venturing into going extreme green here in northwest Indiana. Since we are still using the archaic 2005 IBC, does anyone have any insight into LEED sections for single family?

Does anyone build in an area such as California or design LEED homes?  Could use some insight into how detailed your sections are. My verifier won’t give me any insight and utilizes my sections to score the house.

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong spot but does anyone have any insight into spiral stairs.  I'm working on a project that I want to put a set of spiral stairs leading from the main floor deck to the lower level walk-out.  Customer doesn't want traditional stairs due to their size and they don't want to ruin the look.  I've looked through tutorials but mostly talks about using the 3D spiral set in the catalog.

Has anyone created an LED Mirror or attempted to?  I have a client that wants them but I'm having finding them.

I'm looking to see if anyone has the Clopay # 4310 garage doors with Madison 611 windows in their library.  I have clients that want to see these doors on the house.  If someone can build me a 16' x 8' and a 9' x 8' of these doors, I will gladly cover the cost.

I don't like the Gable Accents Chief includes.  Can I get someone to build me a version of this that I can adjust manually for different gables?  I build these onsite without the 2x materials.  Just the lower portion.

Thanks Tiger, but the P11 door has raised panels.  The masonite door is a recessed panel.

I am currently getting ready to design my personal home.  I'm looking to have 5 Panel Recessed Knotty Alder doors made like the Masonite I'm attaching.  Does anyone have something in their folders already as I don't have too much time to make a new symbol.  I'm even willing to throw a few bucks towards it.

Mick, good call.  The gable subfascia had to be 1 size smaller.  I went from 7 1/4 to 5 1/4 and it cleared right up.

Mick, yes they are.  I also re-built the roof real quick to see if resetting all the rafter heights made anything happen.

Getting frustrated.

Dennis, tried to box the soffit and adjust soffit heights.  CA will not go negative so 1/16" is the lowest I can go.  Adjusted size of box depth, no avail.

I have made almost every adjustment I can think of besides for drawing the soffits manually to get the soffit panel to sit inside the fly rafter underside.  Please look at the attached image and see if anyone has had this problem and / or knows how to rectify.

My Design-Build firm has grown and I'm looking to add another full-time designer.  I've seen people in the past ask this forum but everyone seems to work for themselves so I'd like to see if you know if any colleges, universities, or tech schools are teaching design with Chief?
