I assume you mean Luke?  Who uses Chief.  There is Cox Obrock @johnny who still has Chief and I believe still has an engineer on staff. I have been working with another engineer out of Seattle who doesn’t use Chief but I do the drafting for him on my projects.  If you want his info let me know and I am happy to pass it along.

No... Not Luke.   I have been using someone local for a bit.  They don't have to use CA, so feel free to pass my info along.    Though I am looking to get work caught up, I am also looking to hire an engineer on staff, though I am not expecting to find someone to hire on this forum, my focus with this post is to more get work caught up.

  2. I have alot of projects happening right now and my current engineer is being overloaded by me :) .   I guess that is a good problem to have.   Looking to see if there are any licensed structural engineers for WA state that are available for some more work.   This can be remote work depending on experience.

Again, I need this person to be a licensed WA State engineer.  So, if you are one or know of one, please feel free to send them my way.  Thanks.

  3. Not sure what I am doing wrong (if anything) for this.  In the attached files, I have two layouts... 11x17 & 30x42.   They both show up good on screen in regards to the space between the sheet edge and the border of the Plans.   On the 11x17, it stays the same spacing on the PDF.  However, on the 30x42, it looks good on screen, but after the PDF is made, it seems to shift down and to the right.  I changed several settings trying to find out what is happening and I am stuck.  Hoping you guys may have some luck with it.

  5. Hello.  If you are open to having someone work remotely for you, I am based out of the Seattle/Tacoma area.  I am very familiar with the energy codes and local building department requirements as I have done several homes across the state.  Please feel free to give me a call.

  6. There could be a number of items affecting it.  I would look at the wall types and see where the dimension layer is set to.  It "may" be on something other than the main layer or not the layer of the wall you are intending it to be.  See Pc attached.

It also could be which side the "main" side of the wall is drawn depending on what dimension layer you have the wall-type set for.   I have all my wall-types set to the dimension to the main framing layer of the wall-type and no matter which way I draw the wall, it always dimensions to the bottom left sides of the walls every time.   I would suggest looking at that dimension layer of your walls and see what it is set to.

I noticed when I set the dimension layer in my wall-type to the sheetrock layer (Layer 3), then it changed positions of the dimensions on the plan.
