All of the library references are broken

Is there any way to stop the display Icon in X15 main Menu from being based on the last used command?

There is a Field (Column) available to the Schedules that report the "Type" and the "Sub Type" of Objects in the Plan file.
The Data these Fields contain is inconsistent across different Object TypesIn this example, out of 221 Unique objects, 79 of them have a default "Type" field with data created by Chief. 142 of them do not have data in the "Type" Column.Admittedly, some of the null records have more than one Type of object.Obvious omissions are: Appliances, Electrical and Plumbing Fixtures, and Lighting. There are some more. The questions are1. Why is this a partial list?2. Is there a way to open up the data in a Global way so hundreds could be updated simultaneously? These Object "Types" should be modeled after the Tree Structure in the Library. Obviously Chief knows what type of objects these are.
In this Schedule the Field "Object Type" is Custom and Populated Manually.

Is there any official solution to the incompatibility problems with Win 11 and RTX cards?

Installing through-bolts during a full moon is equally effective as those plate washers.
You guys have any wind up there? Square washer have more surface area. We build to 150 mph wind loads, every little bit helps.
Truthfully though, we don't use collar all that much. We use perlins more and heavier ridge beams. Still, we have negative loads here, that's is different than a snow loads. And then we have the most corrosive environment in the US. so metal straps have to be stainless, or else they disappear in a few years. -
Has anyone heard of any plans to make an Android reader for chief Plans.
I'm not asking about the one for viewing renderings and such. I mean one that reads files so when we are out in the field we can pull up a set of plans on a tablet? -

Ceiling ties (i.e. joists) can have a truss effect, if properly nailed. If you tried to use a collar tie for truss forces, it would require so many nails that the wood would split. (Same is true for ceiling joists in a low pitched roof.) Also, for a truss effect, you really need "triangles" of framing. If you think you are getting any real truss-like benefit out of a collar tie (i.e. in the top third of the rafter) you are deluding yourself.
Not if you thru bolt them, with large square washers.

Just a side note on this, but we've actually created this type of look by just purchasing a plain old solid core smooth panel blank and routering the grooves with a standard V-groove router bit.
I was SUPER happy with the end results after staining and sealing too. It was either that or order the door to be imported from Europe for like $800 plus shipping. I originally had my doubts about how the laminated veneer would handle it, but it worked without hitch.
We did the same exact thing. They looked great. Untill now I though I was the only one to ever do that.

Where do you find this?
Found it. You would expect it to be on the Casing Tab, But it's in the General Tab. -
Is it possible to offset all sides of a polyline.
For example: a box that measures 36" X 36", and without moving the center make it measure 38" X 38"? Each side of the box would be 1" from the original? -

I think turning "Object Snaps" off would be what I would do if I do not want line entities to "snap" together, try that. I usually leave Object Snaps ON but only turn it off when I wish objects and lines not to snap together.
DJP
Those are completely different commands. I always want to have object snap turned on, and separate from that sometimes to connect and sometime not. Dermot has a good solution.
For construction lines, never. When making polylines, yes.

In a camera view, use the delete surface tool to remove the underside. Then, convert the stairs to a symbol and place in the exact same location as the stairs. Use the layer display settings to turn off the real stairs and show the new stair symbol. Use these settings for affected 3d views only. In plan views, turn the symbol off and keep the stairs on.
Or manually draw and place a riser surface. It's not as hard as it may seem. Draw one, at the bottom and get it right. Then using the information from the stair dialog box, replicate this riser the correct amount (in x or y and z axis) and the correct # of times using the absolute location setting.
Thanks, I had actually been thinking about experimenting with the second option. Although the first option sounds good because you have to do something similar when displaying exterior stairs in multi floor designs.
Gonna give it a try. I/m making a series of videos on Beach Houses. I'm going to include your solution in the stair portion. I'll give you a credit and send you a link.
Thanks again. -
This actual photo shows a basic exterior stairway configuration.
If Open Riser is selected there is no underside skin on the stairs. If Open Riser is not selected an underside skin is displayed. I tried a work around of making the skin material glass. From the back side of the stairs no riser is displayed, from the front the riser is displayed.
Any ideas?Thanks

Can anyone point me to a link that enplanes how to do a rood takeoff schedule please?

Use Holes for stair wells.

Thanks Shane, That's not really what I'm looking for.
This program was really not designed to do complex decks, with opening for stairs and rail post of different widths and heights. And for moving the outer rim boards and planking.
But I'm getting closer to having some hard won work arounds. -
Is there any way to disable wall connections other than room dividers or reversing layers.
Neither are working. I have more details if there are not other settings that will work.
Thanks guys, I'm three days into this problem with no solution in sight.
It looks like every scrap of previous installs is gone after upgrading to X15.
