I am curious as to what folks are doing with their typical detail drawings.
Do you save them within the project's plans?
Do you same them within the project's layout?
Are they on their own file?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method....

I created symbols for specialized blocks to use on retaining walls. There are 3-4 block types i am using depending on the size of wall. i want to get a count of how much i need for each type of blocks (schedule).

Which is the schedule to use to quantify geometric shapes?

You prepare your plans and insert all your details in a layout. Get all your call outs correct, then things get added/changed and your page numbering changed. How do you manage revising all the call outs? Have you found a way to dynamically link a call out to a detail so that when the page numbering does change, you are not having to hunt for those call outs to manually change. Can you share your ideas or what you've done to help manage this issue?

Search Fascia Mounted Railings and you'll find a few threads and test plans to check out....

Thank you for the suggestion. I also tried drawing a railing adjacent to an invisible wall, seem to work ok. I will search your suggestion.
Thank you!

Very nice, thank you.. it required breaking the foundation wall at each location, but the drawing looks much cleaner.. thank you!

I wanted a bit more space between lines of text. the default looks crowded to me...

What i am after is simple. Just want to be able to control the height of the columns. the table will have the following sample that i have entered in a simple text box, tab delimited. i control the column width in the grid, but cant seem to control the row height.
ROW 1 ROW1A ROW 1B ROW 1C ROW 1D
ROW 2 ROW2A ROW 2B ROW 2C ROW 2D
ROW 3 ROW3A ROW 3B ROW 3C ROW 3D

I had hoped to keep things native to the drawing so i dont have to manage an external file. Pasting an excel seem to paste only an image...
I am on X10

Do you have a macro that I can insert into a text to reference Plan Cad Details.. for example, i have a foundation detail on Sheet A5. I want to then reference the detail on another sheet of the layout saying "...see foundation detail on Sheet A5" but rather than manually typing the sheet number of the detail, it would dynamically update in case the sheet numbering changes....
