Can someone tell me how to make frieze boards over the splayed sides of bay windows? I tried using a solid polyline but it doesn't seem to work. I created an elevation perpendicular to the splayed wall but can't get it to work. No problem making the frieze board over the flat front of the bay but cannot do the sides. Chief X11 user. Thanks.

I added a new 2nd floor room but it's not recognizing it as a room and has no floor or ceiling. Any thoughts??? The new room is built over an existing first floor room. Chief 11 user. Thanks.

I've noticed on a number of occasions that sometimes I have an interior cheek wall that has no gypsum board on the end....the wood stud is showing. How do I fix this and why does this happen? X10 user. Thanks.

ok, I was able to fix this by moving the last recognized interior wall to the exterior, replacing the old exterior wall.

Hi Dave,
No, none are checked.

Hi Mark,
Maybe we're close. unfortunately none of the lines are parallel BUT the two lines where you have placed your point are perpendicular. Does that help?

as I said, three fixed lines and a fixed size rectangle that needs to be positioned.

Eric,
What you showed me above is not what I need. the rectangle is CAD, a closed polyline. X10, premium user. How do you do the "signature"
Mark

yes, the three lines are fixed and I have a known sized rectangle that must be positioned.

Thanks, Robert. Turns out that the 1st floor was dimensioning to the roof baselines.

For some reason the foundation overall dimensions are different from the first floor overall dimensions. It's showing that both walls are aligned with no "align" symbol. It looks like the first floor walls are dimensioned to the outside of the studs. I can't figure out why they don't line up. X10 user. Any ideas??? Thanks.

Will do. Thanks.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make the window frame one color and the exterior trim another color? It looks like the only option is to choose a "sash" color that combines the frame and trim. I see you can offset the casing from the frame but no color choice for the frame. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks Perry! Changing the sub-fascia worked like a charm. Didn't want to rebuild roofs because I was afraid manually built stuff would be affected.

Hi Guys,
Is there any way to copy my wall types and layer sets I have on my pc onto my laptop? I looked quickly in the x9data folder but didn't see anything. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi all,
Perry, I had already read both of these topics but it didn't help me. It seems that the only way to do this is to have "retaining walls creating the "perimeter" of the terraced area and use polyline solids for all of the interior walls. "Elevation region" under "Elevation Data" is useful but not the solution. I also tried "Rectangular Feature" under "Feature" but also not the solution. If I get a chance. I'll send a drawing of the final product to see if there are any other suggestions. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to create terraced retaining walls? This is driving me crazy. I've tried everything but nothing seems to work Any tutorials on this? I've looked in the reference manual, training videos, knowledge base, etc., Nothing. One clarification: this is used as a series of terraced walls leading to a basement double door entry, including a series of steps. Any help would be appreciated. X9 user. Thanks.

I would like to know if it is possible to edit imported pdf files and how to do. Also would like to know if they can be imported to the scale of the drawing or modified to the scale of the drawing and how to do so. I didn't see anything useful on either the training videos or the knowledge base. X9 user. Thanks.
