Yes, I know I need to upgrade, just not an option at the moment, extremely busy producing plans.

When I use tube railing it shows up as little pieces of tube and it is in the wrong direction. ???

I use version 8 and I am wanting to know how to use either cable or tube railing for stair railing. Can anyone help me out with this. I have a modern home and this is all that is holding me up.

So that new one that has the removable case and is completely configurable would work great with chief. I would have the one with minimum of 12 cores and tons of memory. I would think this thing is extremely fast especially when ray tracing.

The basic IMac pro comes with 32gb memory and 8 cores. Do you all think that going up to 10 cores would make it faster at rendering?

Still can't get it right. 

I would just like to generate a materials list for roofing and have it say how many square of shingles it will take and on another line on the same report, how much roof surface area there is.

Roof Report

1. Shingles 46.49 square

2. Roof Area  4,649 square feet

I just want to be able to see how many square of shingles my roof will take and

how much roof decking my roof will take, both 4 x 8 sheets and 1 x 12 rough sawn pine or cedar.

I want to see the total for the entire roof and individual roof planes for remodel or expansion jobs.
