  1. What's the best way to create a custom two cabinet vanity with a single top drawer head across both cabinets?  See the attached drawing.  I could make the top drawer area of each cabinet a blank area then manually apply a drawer head across them both but is there a better way?

    Thanks

  2. It thought it would be nice to create a central ongoing thread to share any materials you've created in Substance Player. Tile, wood, fabric, whatever.. I'm sure a lot of users could use and benefit from the multitude of materials that have been created since the release of SP. Once created for your use, it only takes a few seconds to export and upload here. Absolutely some will be better than others but that's with anything in life. Hopefully this is a good idea for all users at all levels.

  4. Count how many switches you have then +1 for the wire (switch leg) going to the light or lights you're controlling.  if you have 2 switches controlling a light it is 2 (switches) + 1 (light) = 3 so you have a 3 way.       3 switches + 1 light = 4 so you have a 4 way and so on.   If the lights you are controlling with a 3 way, 4 way or whatever, and you plan on using a dimmer you need to specify where you want the dimmer so your electrician knows where he must run the 3 way traveler wire from and which end the dimmer switch will located.

  5. I've used so many of David's symbols over the years. Especially back when Chief didn't have the greatest lighting selections.  He has always added more and more nice symbols and for a $100 for a lifetime membership its an excellent deal.  Ive even sent him a message with a "how to" question and he did a video and sent it back at no charge.  Great thing he has here!!!

  6. Thanks.  It was a full custom hood built by Vent-A-Hood. They have about 75 colors they will powder coat and an endless selection of metal trim bands, rivets, bolts and texture finishes.  Other nice thing is the factory in right here in Dallas and can just go over and design it on the spot and order.  This one took about 8 weeks and included all the four magic lung blower motors.  The best ventilation system I've ever used over the past 28 years.   FYI... I dont work for Vent-A-Hood but would be nice to have them in the Chief library.  Attached a few other cool hoods we've used over the years

  7. In the whole scheme of things this is a minor thing but I was wondering if there is a way to change the what should be independent materials of a symbol? Im mainly speaking of items like Rev-A-Shelf but a few others. Ive also noticed with with some tubs and toilets from Kohler. Most of the symbols are a single material such as wood or metal.  Like a trashcan pullout that has a metal pullout frame with white plastic trashcans but the symbol is all metal or all wood.  With a lot symbols like Kohler, if the tub is white, the drain, overflow and any other trim is white. See attached.

  8. My cabinet on the right where i placed PS around the inside of each drawer panel and all three were different sizes. Took me probably 10 mins to adjust and get correct.  The one on the left was with Mark's door he made for me. They both look the same BUT I changed all drawers in 15 secs.  Again thanks Mark

  9. Just got back from the Kitchen & Bath show in Vegas and WilsonArt and a few others have come out with solid surfaces 2CM and 3 CM that can be backlit.  We took a client with us and she would like this on her bath countertops tub deck and we are running this same material from the countertop to the ceiling.  Is there a way to take a Quartz countertop material from the library and back light it?
