I have a symbol like that in my user library from a project I did a few years ago. I'll send it to you when I get back to the office.

After you downloaded the file (full file BU), did you right click on your file and select 'Extract All'?

You can specify separate materials for the upper and lower sections of a pony wall. Use a glass shower wall at the top or just a framed wall with windows.

You might be able to make it from a top hinged cabinet or try 3D Warehouse for a symbol. 

Looking at the wall in a cross section view, use the edit handles to drag the wall.

I had a project similar to this a few months ago, I drew it as another floor...

In addition to my earlier suggestions, here's a few more thing to check:

• Do you have any light sources switched on? The more you have, the longer it takes Chief to respond, turn off lighting in areas not visible to your camera.
• Symbols with a high surface count (often imported ones) can also slow you down.
• When working on a file with a PBR view open, I usually set the sample size to 10 or less.
• How often do you clean up your hard drive? It helps to run disc cleanup regularly.

Some things to check:

• Make sure your video card driver is up to date
• The slow library response can be caused by checking 'Include Web Results' (to the right of the library search bar)
• If you have a rendering window open, if it's in PBR mode, that can slow things down. If you want to view in PBR while working on the file, reduce the sample size and click on 'Cap Live Samples'

That's the purpose of my work around.

Try dragging the driveway up to the edge of the door so that it covers the section of floor that is showing. I did this with the door on the right:

You could also drag the driveway slab closer to the garage door so that it covers the section of garage floor that is showing. Or just make both the garage floor the same material as the driveway.

Th first thing I would check is if the driveway slab is at the same level as the garage floor.

In every case it appears that the selected Texure fills the slab area without any joints, this just expands the texure to the slab and gives a distorted image totally to the original

material, surely this issue can't be that complex??

As you are having trouble adding Tile Builder, give this site a try https://www.stonecurators.com/stone-designer/  (it was buried at the bottom of my earlier post so perhaps you missed it). It's easy to use (nothing to download), provides plenty of options and produces impressive results.

Try this:

• Right click the object
• Select 'Transform / Replicate Object'
• You can then move or rotate the item through the commands in the DBX

It really depends on the type of project it is. I've done numerous residential developments which involved creating several different styles of buildings, each in their own file and then converting them into symbols and placing each symbol in it's assigned position in the master plot file. I've also done several single family residences which include a main house and a separate ADU or maybe a pool house. In these cases, I've kept everything in a single file because the design for each structure is always evolving throughout the life of the project and I find it easier to keep it all in one place since an auxiliary structure (garage, pool house, ADU) can't be edited if I bring it in  as an imported symbol.

There's really no right way or wrong way. it all depends on the needs of each project.

If Auto Roof didn't already draw it in for you, you can just draw in a wall manually and in the DBX on the General tab, check 'Attic Wall'.

When properly massaged, Chief can produce some great exterior renderings.It's all in the lighting and materials.

X15 PBR-RT:

I can't inspect your file but the material you specified appears to be a slab and not a tile which means you will not get a pattern with grout lines. The pattern you selected in the 'Pattern' tab does not effect 3D when you are viewing in standard mode (only Technical, Hand Drawn or Vector). Try using Substance Player to make your material:

Supplementing what Perry said, also check all of you walls to make sure none of them have 'No Room Definition' checked ('General' tab of the DBX for your wall).

Without seeing the plan, I'd say convert the desired object to a symbol and then place your symbol into the plan on piers you have created separately.
