With an open floor plan how do I handle floors? Is there a way to "mark" the rooms so each room is being handled differently?

You guys are fast!!!! I am using Home Designer Architect 2018 build 19.3 64 bit It looks to me like it is trying to match the roof line of the attached house which is two floors. I would like a 8' ceiling height or maybe a bit more
