  1. doesnt show in standard view, but you would not expect it to in that view as this does not show edges in that view type.
  2. I have a wall with material regions for battens and just noticed extra lines coming from corners of windows on x10 beta so i went back to x9 to see if it was an x10 issue and there are less but still showing up on x9 elevations, any ideas why?
  3. I did some details and when i went back to copy these to add to another plan all the hatching including the arrows were all individual lines? I understand that if you produced a cadd detail from view you would get this but these details were produced manually in cadd. Anybody run into this before?
  4. I am actually printing to printer.. having a hard time making the line weights print out properly
  5. I am struggling with getting my line weights to show proper for 3/4 and 1" scales. So i understand there are a number of factors. line weight number drawing sheet print setup scaled view layout sheet print setup What do people use for section lines in details as far as line weight? What should i have my drawing sheet set to? What should i have my layout line weight set to? I have tried a number of combinations but the view on the screen is so much thicker than what i get in print.
  6. I was sure that i could pull markers away to not have text overlap each other, has this changed? I do not know how to do this. CA automatically did this for the 4" dimension but fails to do this for the 10" dimension. Anyone know how to do this? I called ca and they said that they did not know and to do it manually.
  7. Thanks for looking at this, much appreciated, it is good to get help from the forum.
  8. Here is what i think is correct, i raised the roof a bunch and ca raised the walls and because i had roof trusses it made them high heels It just wasnt working with my current plan, i must have screwed something up? CA is looking at it.
  9. thanks Mick, i want the room height to stay the same just raise roof, in a sample plan it was raising walls and building them as attic walls, but my plan would not do this? i have auto build attic walls checked still didnt work.
  10. i am sending my plan in to ca to look at, i managed to get walls to rebuild automatically with a sample plan now...not sure whats going on.
  11. I dont want to edit all roof planes, just my upper roof. I am not quite sure I understand how this roof is supposed to work but i remember ca used to rebuild walls when roof planes were raised? I just wanted to move upper roof up so lower roof would slide under without having to manually pull up walls, easy enough to pull up walls but then i find too many times all this manual manipulation causes all kind of issues.
  12. I used the transform/replicate to move roof up but walls dont come with roof. Where is the roof planes dialogue vs roof plane?
  13. i built this roof with trusses checked but there still is no option to raise roof here?
  14. Hi Eric, so the only way to raise roof is to do this before you build it? Because this option is not available after roof has been built? What if i had a very complex roof that was manually drawn, i have to redo roofs to raise them?
  15. plan shows 2600 the zip file shows 0
  16. I am not sure what i am doing wrong? roof plan example.zip
  17. Here is a sample plan where i raised roof off plates 10" and the walls fail to raise to meet the soffit? How would one make a roof with a high heel if the walls dont raise? Am i missing something? roof plan.plan roof plan.zip
  18. I have raised roof but walls do not raise after? I have auto attic wall rebuild turned on. The structure tab in the wall shows they are at standard height. I thought ca used to raise walls automatically, should i just be manually just pulling up walls?
  19. HI everyone, i am trying to place some pot lights in a flat roof soffit, as you can see the pot lights take the slope of the roof no matter what i do. Any suggestions?
  20. I am working on a project right now with stucco joints and a composite wood grain panels, i used the material regions for the panels and stucco joints, i used polyline solids for the posts..
  21. Yes the extra lines...annoying, my perspective on this is it is a artistic rendering and it is meant to convey a design. I keep the extensions on and keep the lines squiggle on..here is the settings i use. So in the end it is quick and artistic so i put up with the lines as there could be construction lines visible in a water colour. I guess i would tell customer if asked that this is to convey the design intent.
