  4. If you could associate a pitch with each letter, that will help others.
  5. I tried Perry -- no change. Newell -- This roof, except for one minor fix is auto generated. Easy to set up on a simple roof like this. The real advantage is on the inside. Everything is clean and aligned.
  6. That front left post? I noticed it too yesterday. I'd start by deleting the 2nd floor and attic. That will fix several issues. Uncheck Balloon Through Ceiling Above (it's not needed) on the front and back walls, then rebuild the 2nd floor. If you don't want to loose that front gable, copy its parts, then Paste>Paste Hold Position to put them back. Delete railing on the ends of the porch, then using the Same Wall Type handle on the front railing, pull it around to the sides. Anyone know how fix the post in the image? It should go to the "ceiling". Post the plan for best ideas.
  7. That article applies to Chief Architect, not Home Designer. Home Designer Knowledge Base Home Designer Forum (This one is for Chief Architect Users) Come on over to HomeTalk for the best answers.
  8. Also, moving all the roof planes to the same floor often helps when working in plan view. Right click on a roof plane, select Display On Floor Above -- or Below depending on which ones you are moving.
  9. Select one, Lock Pitch, adjust any of the other dimensions.
  10. I believe auto roofs will build this roof, if set up correctly. For the main roof, drag it up above the porch roof, then join them. Raise the gable roof planes up -- I tried 40" I think. Join them to the porch roof. Open a wedge shape in the main roof, then join the gable to it to open the gable to the inside. Looks like you have some platform issues as well on the 2nd floor. Floor heights, no room definitions etc. You may also need to modify the porch roof, depending on other settings.
  11. Thanks Scott. Strictly a hobby, and a good way to learn. I make money building, not drawing. Maybe someday.
  12. Auto Floating Dormer. Barrel roof. Check "Form Room Inside Dormer". Explode dormer. Make room defining walls invisible. Uncheck "Ceiling Over This Room". You will need to adjust roof/ceiling heights and radius of roof to match. Draw in a Ceiling Plane to cover the gap.
  13. The arch width at the 2450 elevation is about 3480 mm?
  14. Pony wall, bottom is a room divider. Arches are pass-throughs.
