  1. Assuming you can remember the default wall type.... Group Select all the walls you want to change. Open the Wall Specification dbx and change the Wall Type to match your default.
  2. Shouldn't they be "FEET", or "ft" and not "FOOT"s ?
  3. Make sure you are using the AMD graphics card and not the Intel one?
  4. Rene, It looks like you have used a 3D Symbol Molding?
  5. Have you converted to a Molding Polyline or a 3D Molding Polyline?
  6. Most times I find it easier to forget the retaining wall and use a Terrain Break and a normal wall instead. After all, a Retaining Wall is just a normal wall with an embedded terrain break.
  7. Or.. Try making the stacked block wall a Partition Wall.
  8. You should be able to do that with roof planes by changing some of the roof settings. Here is a very quick one:
  9. There is no problem accurately locating the referenced building either by xyz coordinates or Point To Point move.
  10. That is sort of what using reference plans is doing without resorting to a layout file. When using reference plans it is all contained within the main plan.
  11. Charles, Ah, You are referencing the same plan multiple times. I think you will need to reference a different plan each time - same plan, different name. Just in case you don't know - you can select Edit Offset and the whole referenced plan will hi-light. You can then locate it roughly by dragging and then use Point To Point move from the Edit toolbar to snap it accurately - good if you include a known snap point in your main plan.
  12. Sounds like a reference plan is the way to go. What troubles are you having?
  13. Rich, What I said could be read two ways, but, what I meant was: When I said "as long as I can remember", it wasn't a definition, but rather a qualification.
  14. Leave auto build roofs on while changing the roof settings in the wall dbx until you get what you want. Tile a plan and a 3D view while working. You may have to relocate some walls slightly to get the roof to build properly and so that you can eliminate some of the little quirks
  15. I think you may find your object on the 3D Solids layer. The label will probably be on the Footings, Post layer
  16. I don't think he is using the middle move handle to move the wall. That grip will centre on the wall only for a short distance either side of the centre point. It is not restricted to the centre of the wall - it will locate where you click on the wall. Turning off Intersection Snaps or all Object Snaps prevents the use of Wall Intersection Extension Snaps because they share the same setting. See the help file in my previous post. This tool has been like this for yonks (as long as I can remember.
  17. Notice the roof framing showing through the roof surface on those rear roof planes. Hence my suggestion to increase the thickness of the roof surface material.
  18. DB, I don't think the red cross is a plain old intersection snap. I believe it is a Wall Intersection Extension Snap. Like this when drawing continuous walls: In the video the wall is snapping to itself. Wall Intersection Extension Snaps As walls are drawn, extension lines identify points that are either collinear or orthogonal to the end points of other walls. These extension lines identify potential intersection points and display only when Intersection Snaps are enabled. See Creating Walls.
  19. Neil, No .pdf attached. I would auto build that roof. I would also increase the Roof Surface (the corrugated iron) thickness to something greater than 3mm (have a play) to clean up the roof planes in a 3D view. ie, so you don't see the framing through the roof surface.
  20. There is limited functionality that will allow some things, depending on your situation and needs. If you want to do this as a standard everyday tool, then DB is correct. If you just want to locate an item that you have lost in plan view and want to find it from a 3D view you can make a material list of the object and then in the ML you can use Find Object in Plan. The object will be selected in the plan view.
  21. You added a break to what? If it was something like a cad line or a wall, you grab the grip at the break and drag it to the end of the wall or line. Or...if the break is in a cad line, you can select the line and on the Edit toolbar, use Simplify Polyline.
  22. No, it was called Print Model. X10 was the last version.
  23. This kid is going to poop in his pants. He also forgot to lift the lid! This is not going to end well!
